Poh Ling Yeow Brings a Taste of South East Asia to Burnside Village
Burnside Village hosted a stunning long lunch on Saturday 16 May as part of the iconic Tasting Australia program, welcoming guests to Poh's Table: A Taste of South East Asia. This immersive culinary experience was curated and cooked personally by acclaimed South Australian chef, artist and television personality Poh Ling Yeow.
Held within Burnside Village's Luxury Mall, the event brought together culinary enthusiasts for a shared dining experience inspired by the vibrant flavours of South East Asia. Each dish was inspired and brought to life by Poh, complemented by a curated wine pairing by acclaimed South Australian wine writer Nick Ryan.
Poh Ling Yeow said, “Burnside Village was such a beautiful setting for this event, and it felt really special to bring the flavours and stories of South East Asia to life there. I feel joy sharing these flavours and the stories behind them. I hope everyone left feeling fuller in every sense. We’re so lucky here in South Australia to have such a vibrant food culture, and Tasting Australia always feels like one big feast celebrating that spirit.”
Highlights of the menu included duck rendang and sticky rice parcels with scallop congee and kuih dadar.
Jodie Kannane, Centre General Manager at Burnside Village, said the event was a natural extension of the centre's vision to offer guests more than just a shopping experience.

The lunch also marked the public launch of Burnside Village's 2026 ambassador partnership, with Poh Ling Yeow and Nick Ryan announced as the centre's official Brand Ambassadors. The partnership will see both Poh and Nick bring their respective expertise in food, fashion, lifestyle and wine to a curated program of events and experiences in the centre.
