Tourist Benefits Program Information
Burnside Village is now investigating the introduction of a free Tourist Benefits Program, an initiative designed to attract and incentivise overseas, interstate and regional visitors to experience Burnside Village.
In partnership with retailers, the proposed Tourist Benefits Program will provide travellers to Adelaide with exclusive access to premium offers, in-store experiences and curated shopping privileges across Burnside Village.
Tourist Benefits Proposal Overview
The Benefits Program will be targeted and accessible to:
- Free and independent travellers visiting South Australia for major events like Gather Round, Adelaide Fringe and golf events.
- Business travellers visiting Adelaide for meetings, incentives, conferences and events (Burnside Village is a member of Business Events Adelaide).
- Hotel guests at selected premium hotels.

This isn’t just about a one-off special offer; it’s about consistent, year-round opportunities to attract and collectively incentivise visitors to experience Burnside Village by providing an elevated retail and hospitality experience.
What To Offer Tourist Visitors
We encourage simple, compelling incentives that add value to the visitor’s experience. Whether it’s an in-store experience, percentage discount on a minimum spend, a “buy one, get one free” value-add, or a complimentary inclusion, your offer will position your business as welcoming to tourist visitors.
Offers will need to be available on a consistent basis for 12 months. Retailers across all categories are invited to participate.
Promotion
Burnside Village will promote the Benefits Program across tourism platforms, Business Events Adelaide, burnsidevillage.com.au, hotel partners and tactical social media campaigns during peak visitation periods.
Mechanics
- Visitors pre-register through burnsidevillage.com.au or visit the Concierge Desk on arrival to register.
- Concierge to verify details and supply Benefits Pack.
- Visitors show Benefits Card at point of purchase to access retailer offer.
- Burnside Village will retain postcode, country of origin and visitation data, and retailers will provide redemption data if requested.
- South Australian visitors must reside beyond metropolitan Adelaide, more than 100km from Burnside Village.
Retailer Requirements
- Targeting 40–50 retailers to participate to ensure a compelling offer to attract visitors.
- Commit to an offer on a consistent basis for 12 months.
- An in-store experience, value-add, discount or complimentary inclusion — preferably exclusive to your Burnside Village store.
- Ensure staff are informed and aware of store offer.
