The Village Market Upgrade
11 September 2019
We are always looking to improve our shopping experience at Burnside Village and are pleased to announce a refurbishment of the Village Market precinct.
The proposed upgrades to the Village Market at Burnside Village will improve the common areas and deliver a contemporary precinct, with design themes that will compliment the stage 6 expansion of the Centre commencing next year.
The works will include (but are not limited to) new floor finishes, ceilings, ceiling features, lighting, and wall finishes.
The area where this work is to be undertaken is as depicted below in red:
The following is an indication of what the proposed upgrades and where materials will be used.

Will any stores be closed or trading hours affected by these works?
- There will be continuous trading from all entrances leading into the Village Market Food Precinct.
- We want customers to have the same experience as they do currently at Burnside Village with works scheduled for out of hours. The work will occur primarily at night, between the hours of 9.00pm and 6.00am, with the exception of Thursday when the Centre closes at 9.00pm.
- Works will more than likely be broken up into 3-4 zones, commencing at the Sydney Street Entrance and progressing through to the Portrush Road entrance.
When will the works commence and how long will they take:
- These works are scheduled to commence on the 14th of September with approximately 10 weeks to complete (mid November).
