Join Burnside Village and Trees For Life and discover the wildlife and plants at Michael Perry Botanic Reserve with an evening guided short nature walk the whole family can enjoy.

 

Evening Nature Walk 

Michael Perry Botanic Reserve

Thursday 21 March 6.30pm – 8pm

Join Trees For Life Field Officer Bess on a leisurely guided walk through Michael Perry Botanic Reserve. If you’re younger, older or in between this is a chance to breathe in the fresh air and discover the wildlife and plants that are part of this special hidden park. The gentle undulating 1.6km walk is suitable for most fitness levels. Healthy snacks provided.

Maximum 15 people so book early.

Family Nature Day

Kensington Park Oval

Saturday 4 May 10 – 12pm

Join Trees For Life for a morning in nature at Kensington Park Oval, located on The Parade in the heart of suburbia. There will be nature craft activities for the children, plant propagation demos, guided walks through the surprisingly diverse nature trail and Animals Anonymous will join us with their furry and scaly friends. Healthy snacks provided. Something for everyone to enjoy.

 

Native Garden Workshop

Burnside Village Fashion Mall

Thursday 16 May 10.30 -11.30am & 6.30 – 7.30pm

Learn the basics of how to easily incorporate native plants into your garden. A great way to attract butterflies, native bees and birds. Hear from Trees For Life staff member Matt Endacott who, along with his two young children, has created a beautiful urban native garden and even raised Swallowtail Butterflies this summer.
